We help older adults age in place and find the right care for their needs. Our collection houses more than 50, books and document, 6, objects, and more than , photographs. Freemasonry, in its current form, is more than years old. Freemasonry is non-partisan, and not a religious body. In fact, we explicitly do not discuss these things, because our goal is to promote unity through our fellowship. Charity is one of the most important things Masons do, which requires us to practice the art of civility and to be able to get along and work together. Masons have contributed not only billions of dollars to the health and well-being of our communities. Charitable activity predates Statehood — Masons in Washington Territory and Washington state have been engaged in the community and giving back for more than years.

Membership is open to men of all faiths, ethnicities and backgrounds, who are 18 years and above; law-abiding, of good character and who not only believe in something greater but also have a belief in themselves and are looking for challenges. It is also important to note that the purpose of Freemasonry is moral and self-improvement, not the gaining of any material advantage. Freemasonry is not a benefit society, nor a secret society. In modern times the requirements for being a Freemason center on having good morals and values, a desire to support the community and a drive for self development. In meeting these requirements Freemasonry accepts men of all faiths, religions, races, nationalities and from every walk of life. Being a good man is the crux of the organisations teachings.

Freemasons of Washington will be recognized as a relevant and respected Fraternity, committed to attracting and retaining all men of high quality who strive for self-improvement and the opportunity to make a positive difference in their community. I stand before you with a so many emotions that it is impossible to explain. I am extremely honored by the trust you have placed in me and I promise that I will do everything that I can to support our Gentle Craft, to guide us through these troubled times and help assure that we will continue for generations to come.
